Multicomponent Telerehabilitation to Engage Veterans in Effective Self-Management of Complex Health Conditions
MCTR Program
This study evaluates the effectiveness of a 12-week Multicomponent Telerehabilitation (MCTR) program designed to improve physical function, self-management, and social support among medically complex older Veterans.
MCTR Program
The Veterans Health Administration offers rehabilitation programs, but many are diagnosis-focused, require in-person visits, and provide only low-intensity care. Our MultiComponent TeleRehabilitation (MCTR) program is designed to bridge this gap by delivering high-intensity rehabilitation, self-management strategies, and social support—all through telehealth. This research study evaluates how MCTR can improve strength, mobility, and overall physical function for older Veterans with complex health conditions. By combining structured physical therapy, coaching, and technology-based engagement, we aim to help Veterans regain independence and maintain long-term wellness. All sessions are conducted virtually via VA Video Connect, ensuring accessibility and convenience while aligning with standard VA benefits.
